Did you know you can grow your own loofah!? It grows just like a hanging gourd! When it's time to harvest the loofah, we wait until it has fully matured and turned yellow on the vine. Then we cut the loofah from the plant, leaving a few inches of stem attached. Next, we peel away the outer skin to reveal the fibrous interior, and allow the loofah to dry completely before cutting it into sections and using it for exfoliation.
 
The natural texture of the loofah fibers provides a gentle and effective way to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and invigorated.
 
Each loofah was grown, dried and cleansed on our property, and comes with a jute string attached to hang in your shower.  See the picture above of the loofah's growing in our garden!
 
Make sure you get it wet before you use it, or it will be too scratchy!
 
Disclaimer: Some loofah sections may still contain seeds. Shake it out and grow your own next year!
